Mothers Day give away!

Hi everyone! As you know..Sunday is a pretty important day for anyone that is a mother, or who has a mother in their life. It’s a day to show appreciation for all that they do to make our lives happy and easier! With that said…I will be giving away a little gift. I want you to visit my blog..and write why your mom means so much to you.. I was going to give away a pedicure gift-certificate but some fans wrote me saying that they don’t live here in Bakersfield, so how would they redeem it? Good point. I have decided to give-away a free mini-session (including a photo-disc, that’s a 200$ value!)  instead to whoever wins… and if you don’t live here than maybe next time you’re in the Bakersfield area, you can redeem it. The winner will be chosen on Monday evening and posted on here and my fan page. ..so be sure to check this blog out periodically!

I appreciate two women this mother’s day…my mother and my mother in-law who both do so much for my family.

Sandy (my mama)- Thank you for always being a good mom, and providing for me Jaclin and Jeffery. You and Dad have worked hard in life to make our lives better than your childhood was and it’s taught me to want the same for my boys. I appreciate you being a good listener, great  friend, sweet  Nana to my boys, and ear to yap to early in the morning and late in the night. You raised me to be strong, never take no for an answer if it’s something I truly want, and to be a humble and honest person. I will never forget how much effort and planning you put into our beautiful wedding and I will never know how you managed to plan a huge wedding in two months..lol I admire the love you have for your children and grand babies…I love you! Happy Mothers day!

Vicki (my mama in law)- Thank you for always having a positive outlook  on things even when the road is stressful…I admire that about you…you’re a hard worker and being a single mom raising three children, one of them being my husband I know wasn’t easy! I appreciate all the kind-hearted things you do for my family like making us dinner, helping out when we’re sick, and taking the boys off our hands when you know me and Matt are about to loose our marbles! . Your son has been faithful, kind, loving, giving and hard-working husband, he is a great daddy to our two sons, I believe you have definitely rubbed off on who Matthew is today… Parker,Holden and Emma are lucky to have a great Nana like you in their lives… happy mothers day! love you!

Rules: Comment on ‘this’ mother’s day post telling me why your mom means so much to you…that is it..all you gotta do to be in the drawing..must show your comment on here with your name/email:)

thanks! and good luck!

I am not actually nominating my mom, but my sister who is going to be a first time mom in October! She is a very strong person, and is doing everything possible to make sure she provides her little one with everything he or she needs. She was half way through the medical assisting program, when she found out, and continued to go to school and maintain grades knowing that this was going to be the best for her child. I’ve honestly never seen my younger sister so happy, and now, instead of her looking up to me since we were younger, I’m looking up to her! she has shown me that no matter what life issues come your way, you can still do what you want with your life, and have the motivation to succeed. She is an amazing sister, and most of all going to be a wonderful mom!

  • As for most others, my mom means the world to me. She raised us five kids as a single mother, thoughout all the hard times she has always been such a rock. Till this day I have never met a person as strong as her. She’s taught me so much like how be a lady, to be genuine and to never waste a moment of time we have here on this earth. The most special thing she taught me, however, would have to be how to be such a mother to my own son! I can never thank her enough for everything she’s done for me, for making me the person I am today! xoxoxoxo

First I must say I love your work ! Honestly !! I’m not sucking up lol. Ok so I think my mom is just absolutely wonderful. I think I have the best mom ever as many of us do. My mom is such an amazing woman she pretty much raised us 3 girls on her own. She did a fabulous job. She never asks for anything but deserves so much recognition. I can’t imagine my life without her and don’t know what I would do without her. She is a great mom and grandmother. I have taken on a child who is not mine but she does not treat him any different than she does her own biological grandchildren. My mom still works 2 jobs and helps me and my sisters out all the time even if we dont need it. She also takes care of my grandma who is 95 and still cooks for my pops and takes care of him ( he has a double knee replacement and still needs lots of attention 🙂 ) She is like a mom to so many of our friends. She is my best friend as well. She’s always there to listen no matter what. I love my mom more than anything and I would do anything for her. I could never repay her for everything she has done for me.
hope to someday soon retire her so she don’t have to work I want her to be able to enjoy her grandchildren even more and be able to travel and do anything she wants.

I always knew my mother loved me. She said it and showed me each day of our lives together. As a child, I took her love for granted, as an adult who no longer has her mother in law anymore I cherish every moment that I have with my mother. My mother had the most influence on who I am today whether she knows it or not. I always swore as a child and teenager I would be nothing like her, but I hear her words tumble from my mouth everyday. I have discovered it’s not so bad to be a little like her, its a honor to be her daughter. While pregnant with my first child, my mother told me that love is unconditional from the start. It runs both ways, our children know this from the beginning and as mothers, we feel it while carrying them. My children are my greatest love, and I show them everyday, but not with material things. I use hugs, kisses and words. I dry their tears when they attempt new things and don’t succeed, and praise them for their efforts. I say I love you and hug them any chance I get.

Being a mother is what I treasure most in life, I wouldn’t trade any of it and My Mother taught me this, And theres so much more of why My Mother means the world to me<3

    Mother’s Day Giveaway Session

My mother is special because she raised four children, helped my father with his business, worked as a CNA and was a college
student all at the same time. At age 45, she finally became a RN, and she continues to take care of others. She took care of my grandmother before she passed, and she takes care of my grandfather. My mother is the first of her 13 siblings to have a college degree. I am proud of my mother for following her dreams and thankful for encouraging us to follow ours.

My mom is the greatest! I know she’s biologically programmed to love me but I can be a hand full at times and yet her love and patience and care for me never runs out. She is by my side no matter what. She helps me through anything life throws at me. I love her so much and she means so much to me. I couldn’t ask for a better mom! No one compares to her 🙂

My mother is my world. Growing up she always put us 4 kids 1st and now she puts her 4 kids, 1 daugther n law, 3 son n laws and 12 grandkids 1st. She’s had 4 back surgery, walks with a cain, and lives with constant pain, but you would never know it by just looking at her. She still plays with her grandkids, supports us kids 100% and is there for us at a drop of a dime! She never complains, just always tries to find the good in everything! She’s strong, beautiful and has a heart of gold! Life hasn’t always been good or easy for my mom, but her faith in God and her love for her family, has given her the strength to fight and never give up. I hope and pray I can be half the mother and woman my mother is! She’s not only my best friend, but my hero….I love you mom 🙂

I have 3 sisters and our mom is all we have left. Our dad passed away in 2009 due to pancreatic cancer. My mom and dad divorced prior to his death about 15 years and she remained by his side holding his hand until his heart stopped beating, they were best friends. If that’s no true love I don’t know what is. My mom is the strongest person I know and I look up to her in so many ways. She has always been here for my sisters and I no matter what it is. She would give her last dollar to her girls if we needed it. She really is an amazing person. She is turning 50 years old this year and she can keep up with a 3 year old and a 5 month old. My oldest sister has had a horrible life these past 5 years from losing her fiancé’ to losing my dad who supported her in every way, and my mom is here to help her with her children while she works full time as a single parent. She really is the one who keeps us together. I can’t imagine my life without my mom. She just recently quit smoking after 30 years to better her health so she can be here longer for her girls. She is truly our best friend and the best mom in the world.

My mom is much more than a mother, she is my bestfriend, my go to person whenever I need alittle advice, a shoulder to cry on, or just some momma love. She is beyond amazing and the hardest worker I know. I could really go on forever about how wonderful she is, I am so blessed to have her as a mom and so honored to be her daughter! I love you mommy 🙂

I believe there is no mom anymore special than the other. Every single one of us has made sacrifices and done all that we could to raise our children the best we can!

My mom is especially amazing to me because of all that’s she’s been through in her life. She’s overcome so much with her ex-husband, the death of her son (my little brother), and just everyday life struggles. But she’s made it through. Her strong demeanor and beautiful personality inspire me to be more like her. I don’t know how she’s found the strength to go on sometimes, but she has and continues to everyday. I love my mom<3

How do I put into words what my mother truly means to me? Something so special is hard to capture on paper. My mother, Kim Ziobro, is the true meaning of a mother. She is selfless and loving and would walk the ends of this Earth to help my siblings and her grandchildren. She is the soothing voice at the end of the phone during a frantic call about my sick child. She is the arms that rocks not only me but my son when I am unable to face how sick he really is. She is the sweet scent of comfort when I close my eyes and pray for some peace. Being a mother isnt an easy job and it definitely hasnt been easy for my mom but she has never given up on any of us. Her love for all of us is unconditional. I know that no matter what I do or what happens to me in this world as long as my mother is here it will all be alright. I don’t tell her often enough how much I love her and what her love means to me so mom, this one’s for you. 🙂 I love you from this world to the next, your love pulses through my veins and on to my children. I can never thank you enough for all the things you have done and given up for all of us. I love you more than words can express. You’re the best and best of all you’re mine. XOXO Kris

Well my Mother is special to me because she is truly a Strong Woman. She is a single Mom of 5 beautiful daughters. She has been through some tough times with being in an abusive relationship and currently fighting Colon Cancer for about 5years now! It has been tough watching her go through all this but it has taught me so much just seeing her not give up for her children. She is the type of women that even though she is so weak and exhausted she will still get up to have a day out with her Grandchildren. She truly is a very special, strong, courageous, generous Women. Most of all she is My Hero and My Hope. My mother makes me feel like I can get through anything just as she is battling for her life!

My mom is just like every other woman in my family-unselfish. My whole life I’ve watched her put her loved ones’ needs before her own. In 2000 my Aunt, her sister in law passed away leaving my uncle with their 2 children to raise, then in 2007 that Uncle, her brother passed away. My mother, already having 3 daughters of her own and a stepson decided to, along with my grandmother adopt my 2 cousins: Kayla now 16 and David now 19. It was the best decision I think she has ever made, they are the 2 most amazing siblings I could ever ask for. At 17 I got pregnant and she was by my side every step of the way, she is the greatest grandmother. Idk how she did it, raising 5 teens all at the same time & having to deal with a teen pregnancy but she did and she still managed to raise 5 level-headed, goal oriented young adults.

My mom is my hero! Two weeks ago, she was diagnosed with cancer for the third time!! In 2004 she survived breast cancer and, at her 5 year post cancer check-up, they found bone cancer. Can you imagine, you think you your in the clear just one last routine exam only to find out that the cancer is back. Well, it happend again 2 weeks ago. She was at a routine post cancer exam when she was hit with the diagnosis. This time it is in the bone and lungs. My mom is such a fighter though!! She refuses to let this disease keep her from her kids and grandkids. Last year the first round of chemo nearly killed her, she was in ICU for 8 days unable to have any contact with us but, she stayed strong. The cancer is in her leg and she had to have a knee replacement as well as part of her leg but, she did not let that stop her. She loves going to the beach with her grandkids and 2 weeks ago the weekend after her diagnosis she did just that. My mom is so strong, I hope to be as strong a woman, mother, and grandmother as her. This time we are not sure that she will be able to win the battle not for lack of trying though. Having a professional photo session with my mom and her grandkids would be the greatest gift.

My mother is the most supportive person in my life. When my mother and father were trying to concieve, the dr tried to convice her otherwise. She is was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 5 and the doctor did not think either she or I would survive the prgnancy. She went against doctor’s orders and I was born. She has been my rock, my shoulder to cry on, an ear to talk off and my support system. She went to every dance recital, soccer game, cheerleading game and every function I had while growing up. She suported me through my college years, even the times that were overwhelming and pushed me to continue and complete my degree. Through all of her hopsitalizations and complications with her disease, she still attended my major milestones. Nine years ago her diabetes has worsened, she was placed on a kidney transplant list and has been on dialysis three hours a day, three times a week. I am thankful she was able to to see me graduate, get married and see the birth of both my children. I know my time is limited and I cherish everymoment I have with her. My children and I spend as much time as we can. My mother is my bestfriend and a wonderful grandmother to my children. I love her more than life itself and can only hope I am half the person she is!
