I have been taking a little time off the last two weeks. I finally got all of my Christmas decor in the attic and the house back to looking like ‘pre-Christmas time’ . I have been shooting a lot of boudoir sessions lately with valentines day approaching. These kind of sessions used to really stress me out ( not even going to lie 🙂 )…the lighting can be so tricky, along with the right color-type of backgrounds and props to use. I really want to spend more time focusing on boudoir sessions this year. I re-painted my studio a bright red, ‘dare-devil’ red to be exact, and my bathroom a ‘sexy pink’. It’s a new year, and time to focus on new goals. A lot of girls who inquire about boudoir sessions have a very common fear of not looking sexy, or good enough for these type of sessions. Boudoir may not be for everyone, but it can be for anyone. Do not let your insecurities hold you back from embracing the feminine body. You will look beautiful as long as you’re confident in yourself. Another common question is, ‘What should I wear?’ and I can help with that…boudoir has no limitations, it’s a area of photography that can cover many levels of being sexy..It is however important to buy lingerie, outfits, undergarments that flatter your body, if there is an area that you’re unsure of we can pose you to bring out the more flattering parts of your body. No matter what these sessions are very personal, and my goal as your photographer is to capture you in a very artistic and classy manner.
I wanted to know the definition of the word ‘boudior’ Boudoir: ‘ a lady’s private bedroom’ . We shot this model’s session in my living room with a white backdrop, in my bedroom and bathtub. She is surprising her husband with these photos for valentines day.
